Evolutionary Trend of Thrombolytics

چکیده
Thrombolytic drugs have been used in the clinical arena to treat a wide variety of venous and arterial thromboembolic disorders which are a main cause of death. Thrombolytic molecules are plasminogen activators that convert the inactive plasminogen to the active proteolytic enzyme plasmin which dissolves the blood clot. Fibrin specific plasminoactivators such as tissue – type plasmino activator (t-PA), single chain urokinase type PA, staphylokinase etc. are superior to the non-specific ones such as streptokinase and two chain urokinase-type-PA (tcu-PA). The main advantage of the latest generation of International Journal of Bio-Science and Bio-Technology Vol. 2, No. 4, December, 2010 52 fibrinolytic drugs for treating acute myocardial infarction (MI) is their ease of administration. Four thrombolytic drugs are currently available in market: alteplase, reteplase, streptokinase and tenecteplase. Streptokinase became the most widely used drug due to its low cost. However, newer agents have a longer half-life, making them easier to deliver, but these also are associated with bleeding complications. In a search to overcome these drawbacks, many efforts have been made to develop the more potent thrombolytic agents without bleeding complications. In this review, different generations of thrombolytic agents have been discussed

A new approach on studying the stability of evolutionary game dynamics for financial systems
Financial market modeling and prediction is a difficult problem and drastic changes of the price causes nonlinear dynamic that makes the price prediction one of the most challenging tasks for economists. Since markets always have been interesting for traders, many traders with various beliefs are highly active in a market. The competition among two agents of traders, namely trend follo...

Casting a chronological glance at the trend of studies in the evolutionary economics area suffices to come to the point that the approach enjoys a long historical background. It is to say that the studies conducted in this area consist of miscellaneous thoughts ranging from insight of early Marxists to Austrian neo-liberalists. Nevertheless, a landmark study that paved the way for the developme...
متن کاملبررسی روند تکامل صفات ریخت شناسی در گونه های ایرانی سردۀ Stachys از نعنائیان براساس توالی هسته ای nrITS
The evolutionary trend of the morphological characters of the genus Stachys in Iran, on the basis of nrITS se-quence data, was investigated. A total of 28 nrITS sequences, representing 26 species of Stachys as well as Betonica of-ficinalis and Melittis mellisophyllum, were obtained from GenBank. Patterns of character evolution were assessed for 10 vegetative and reproductive characters with emp...
متن کاملAggressive mechanical clot disruption: a safe adjunct to thrombolytic therapy in acute stroke?
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE This study evaluated the safety and efficacy of aggressive mechanical clot disruption (AMCD) in acute stroke patients with persisting middle cerebral artery (MCA) or internal carotid artery (ICA) occlusion after thrombolytic therapy. METHODS Retrospective case series were used from a prospectively collected stroke database on consecutive acute ischemic stroke patients t...
متن کاملMechanical thrombectomy following intravenous thrombolysis in the treatment of acute stroke.
BACKGROUND The efficacy of intravenous thrombolytics in acute stroke is limited by low rates of recanalization of occluded arteries. Treatment with intravenous thrombolytics followed by mechanical thrombectomy is a novel approach that may increase recanalization rates without compromising time to initiation of treatment. OBJECTIVES To report our experience with 2 patients who received this co...
